James R. Thompson Center

The James R. Thompson Center, located in the heart of Chicago's Loop neighborhood, is an iconic structure known for its unique architectural style. The building was finished in 1985, with the help of then-serving Governor James R. Thompson, after whom the building is named. It stands at 172 meters (568 ft) tall, with 16 stories in all.
