Golden Gate

The iconic Golden Gate Bridge is a must-see for travellers to San Francisco. Spanning 1.7 miles of San Francisco Bay, the bridge is a sight to behold both from land and by boat. Unofficially an orange colour, its impressive arch serves as a gateway to the city of San Francisco. The bridge is also a popular backdrop for photos taken from the beach below. On top of the bridge there is a pedestrian walkway with stunning views of Alcatraz Island and the bay.
