Dumo di Siena archway

The Porta Camollia in Siena, Italy, commonly referred to as the 'Arco di Monte Aperto' or the 'Dumo di Siena' is an archway and one of Siena's oldest and most iconic landmarks. Built during the Etruscan period, it was one of the ancient city walls associated with the city's Roman colony, and is the only remaining original city gate that has survived the ages. Standing at 25 metres tall, many believe the archway to be a symbol of the strength and perseverance of the Sienese people. It is a must-see for travellers visiting the city, and photographers alike.
