
Beachy Head Lighthouse is located on the cliffs of Beachy Head in East Sussex, United Kingdom. The lighthouse has been a navigational aid for vessels in the English Channel since its construction in 1902. The 46-meter-tall brick tower is supported by three levels of cast iron galleries, and its light has a range of 18 nautical miles. The lighthouse is especially popular among photographers due to its dramatic cliff-top location and stunning views. The headland itself is renowned for its wonderful coastal scenery and wildlife, making it a popular visitor destination. Visitors can also enjoy a range of activities including walking, cycling, and horse riding. There are a number of information boards nearby which detail the local history and geology, as well as the many war time happenings around the area.
