Ba Thien Hau Temple

Ba Thien Hau Temple, located in Quận 5, Vietnam, is one of the most important spiritual sites in Ho Chi Minh City and is home to many local devotees. Constructed in 1760 to honor the Goddess Thien Hau, who is believed to protect fishermen and sailors, the temple features 3 distinct halls as well as a garden and various courtyards. The main attraction inside Ba Thien Hau Temple is a large, ornate altar which is decorated with sculptures of the Goddess Thien Hau and other deities. Additionally, small shrines dedicated to the goddess can be found throughout the temple, alongside numerous incense burners and offerings of fake money and fruit. Outside the temple is a small pond, complete with a replica of a sailing boat, while the front of the temple includes a vibrant red bridge over its entrance.
