Aufgang Südbrücke is a historic bridge in Cologne, Germany, located at the confluence of the Rhine and Lippe Rivers. Constructed in 1858, this bridge was originally a wrought iron railroad bridge, and was designed by the renowned German engineer Karl Schleicher. It was renovated in 1990, and has since become a popular site for locals and visitors. The Aufgang Südbrücke is a great spot to take in the lively atmosphere of the city. The riverbanks around the bridge are filled with pubs and restaurants, while the bridge is a great spot to watch the sun set over the Rhine.
