Alcazar di Segovia

Alcazar di Segovia is a magnificent medieval fortress built in the 11th century and perched on a rocky crag overlooking Segovia's city center. With its grand stone walls, towers, and grandiose architecture, it's considered one of Spain's most remarkable castles. Inside, visitors will find both stately rooms and gorgeous gardens, as well as the prison of Isabella I, the first female ruler of Spain. The castle is surrounded by Mirador de la Pradera de San Marcos, an idyllic meadow which overlooks a stunning panorama of Segovia's historic center.
