
Klosterruine Jostberg is an impressive and historic ruin of a former monastery in Bielefeld, Germany. Nestled in a forest near the Teutoburg, the ruins date back to the 13th century when it was founded by the Order of Cistercians. During the Reformation and the Thirty Years' War, the monastery was destroyed, and today only parts of the walls and pillars of the stone structure have survived. The ruins are now part of the local recreation area and are accessible to the public. Visitors can explore the ruins and nearby woods and trails, and also enjoy beautiful views of the nearby hills and valleys. With its many walls, stairs, and arches, the ruin is a photographer’s paradise and provides for fascinating and unique shoots.
