St. Agnes, located in the city of Cologne (Köln), Germany, is an impressive church located in the Stadtmitte district. It is an example of Gothic Revival architecture and was built between 1861-1866. It stands tall at 131 meters (430 feet) tall and its spire is the second tallest in Cologne. The church is characterized by its impressive spire and its imposing bulk which was meant to symbolize the religious power of the city. Inside, it can house up to 4,500 people and is full of stunning stained glass windows, paintings, and sculptures. The building is a favorite amongst tourists, art lovers, and photographers alike looking to capture its beauty.
