Plaza de Armas

Plaza de Armas is one of the most important historical sites in Santiago, Chile. Located in the city's historic downtown district, the square is surrounded by important buildings and monuments, including the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Torre Entel telecommunications tower, and the Correo Mayor post office building. The plaza is also home to several museums and art galleries, including the National History Museum and the Chilean National Fine Arts Museum. In the center of the plaza stands the iconic La Torre de Santiago, a clock tower built in 1805. The plaza is a great place to sip coffee at one of the local cafes with a view of the surrounding impressive architecture, explore the various museums and galleries, or simply soak up the atmosphere.
