Mountains in Adana

Adana and Ceyhan, both cities in the south of Turkey, offer amazing view of the famous Taurus mountains. Just outside of Adana, the city sits in a valley surrounded by mountains, a truly stunning sight. Located in the middle of the mountains lies the Snake Castle, a 13th century ruin built by the Ramazanoğlu family. From the outside, the structure is quite imposing, but the interior is open, making for a great spot to explore. There is an ancient bridge nearby, providing an astonishing panoramic view of the whole area. There is also a nearby historical mosque, making for an excellent opportunity to take in the local history. Nature lovers can take part in plenty of activities like cycling, horse riding and paragliding, providing exciting views of the natural rural landscape.
