Mount Batur is an active volcano located in Bali, Indonesia. It is a popular trekking site, featuring an impressive view of the nearby Lake Batur and the surrounding areas. Hikers usually take around two to three hours to reach the summit, which stands at 1,717 metres above sea level. During the climbs, hikers should be careful due to various hazards posed by the active volcano. The air near the summit is also very thin, so visitors should be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks. Despite the dangers, the views from the top are wonderful and a great reward after the hike.
