
Governor Dodge Park is a 5,270-acre state park located in the hills of southwestern Wisconsin. Featuring dramatic topography and diverse vegetation, the park's five lakes, rolling ridges, hardwood forests and abundant wildlife make it appealing to anyone looking for an escape from urban life. The park's numerous trails offer scenic hiking, extensive mountain biking, horseback riding and cross-country skiing opportunities, while lake swimming, fishing and wildlife observation also draw visitors. Cabins, electric/non-electric campsites and a group camp area are available for overnight guests. The park also contains a horse campground with more than 20 corrals, a pavilion, the Dodgeville Historical Heritage Center, a playground and numerous picnic areas. Campers can also fish, canoe and kayak on the lakes.
