Golden Gate Bridge

The Golden Gate Bridge is one of the world's most iconic and recognizable bridges. Connecting San Francisco with the Pacific Ocean and the Bay Area, the bridge is a unique sight. It was completed in 1937 and stands 277 meters (905 feet) tall. A walk or bike ride along the bridge is a great way to take in the views and the experience. Near the bridge entrance, you will also find Battery Boutelle, which served as the military's primary defense location in the San Francisco Bay. The battery has since been transformed into a public park and overlook, offering great views out towards the bridge and Golden Gate Park. There are plenty of nearby attractions to explore, such as the Coit Tower or Ocean Beach. Be sure to also take note of the local wildlife – from seals and sea lions to colonies of pelicans and gulls, you can find a wide array of animals in this area.
