Facultad de Ingeniería at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) is one of the leading engineering research and teaching facilities in Latin America. The main building, located in the City of Buenos Aires, is an impressive example of late 19th century architecture featuring grand staircases and spacious halls. The nearby Facultad de Ingenieria Annex, also known as Sala de Maestranza. is a stunning piece of art-deco style buiding on the corner of Paseo Colon and Pueyrredon Avenues. Both buildings have unique features that make them attractive to visitors and photographers, such as the symmetrical window and arch columns, flowerbeds and old-style street lamps. The rectorate also hosts a sculpture garden and various other displays that are worth visiting.
