Cuevas del Sol

The Cuevas del Sol, or 'Caves of the Sun', are an incredible site located in Setenil de las Bodegas, Spain. The magnificent town is tucked away in the province of Cádiz, in the country's south-west. The village itself is situated in the base of a mountain range, with several natural caves built into the side of the rock. These caves act as homes for the locals, as well as a tourist destination, with plenty of interesting sights around every bend. The houses of Setenil are built into the rock, and some people still live in the caves today, while visitors can explore the natural architectural structures of the caves and enjoy beautiful views over the vibrant white town. You'll also find some excellent restaurants, cafes, and bars scattered among the caves and narrow alleys, where you can sample some of the region's famous tapas or other treats. It's a great spot to wander around and experience something truly unique!
