The Grand Canyon National Park is one of the most incredible places in the world. Located in northern Arizona, it is a sight of awe-inspiring beauty that few can match. It stretches for 277 miles and is up to 18 miles wide. Its cliffs are sandstone colored in oranges, reds, and yellows, and have been eroded by the Colorado River over 6 million years. There are numerous trails for hikers, and one of the most popular is the rim-to-river Bright Angel Trail. The park has plenty of historic sites, too. It is also home to one of the seven natural wonders of the world – the Grand Canyon Skywalk. The Skywalk is a glass bridge suspended 4000 ft over the canyon, where visitors can walk and admire the jaw-dropping views. From the top of the South Rim, one can watch the sun setting over the canyon, the vivid colors changing with each minute. It is one of most mesmerizing sights to behold. Note that access to the rim is limited at present due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
