Brugge City Hall

The Brugge City Hall, in Brugge, Belgium, was built between 1376 and 1420. It is the most visible landmark in the city and is a symbol of wealth and opulence. The imposing building is an architectural masterpiece, with each facade featuring intricately detailed gargoyles and statuary, intricate stained glass windows, baluster galleries and more. Inside, the main hall, the Gothic Stadhuis, is decorated with richly coloured, 16th-century tapestries and paintings. Nearby, the Burg is a 15th-century ceremonial chamber. The city hall is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and can be visited free of charge. Inside, visitors can see exhibitions of the city's ancient documents and charters, and can also explore meetings rooms, a chapel and the mayor's office.
