Abandoned Il-76

The Abandoned Il-76 in Umm Al Quawain, United Arab Emirates is an interesting site with a unique history. In 1998, the Il-76 cargo aircraft was stranded here and standing abandoned ever since. As you approach the place you'll find the aircraft located in a remote spot on the desert, just off the Umm Al Quawain-Ras Al Khaimah highway. This giant rusting machine is an impressive sight, with the remains of its 4 mighty jet engines and 4 control cockpits. It's an out of the ordinary place, perfect for exploring and appreciating the area's eerie atmosphere.
