The Waterplace Bridge in Providence, Rhode Island, is a historically significant 19th-century structure spanning the Woonasquatucket River. It forms part of the Waterplace Park and Riverwalk, a large-scale urban renewal project finished in 1994. The pedestrian bridge links walkers to a large, amphitheater-like space, surrounded by the city skyline complete with hotels and restaurants, which hosts various events throughout the year. Here, you can find the Providence Place Mall and watch the Waterfire display - a series of floating bonfires choreographed to music. It's a great spot to take in the views of the Renaissance City and explore a vibrant outdoor scene.
