Velodrom's Stairs

The Velodrom's Stairs and Park am Velodrom lie in the lovely area of Berlin Kreuzberg in Germany. Initially built in 1887, the entrance to the park is marked by a beautiful set of stairs, whose width decreases along their length, giving them a gradient look. At the top of the stairs is a bronze chariot, which is the focal point of the area. From here, the paved path of the park leads down to the Velodrom, an impressive building that houses the Tierfilmstudio Babelsberg, one of the oldest film studios in the world. There are vast lawns, lovely trees and shrubs, a playground and a pond, making it a popular spot for different kinds of recreational activities. The park is oftentimes used as a shooting location for movies or commercials. There are also outdoor events, such as concerts and food markets, that take place here from time to time. Definitely worth a visit!
