Soroca Fortress

Soroca Fortress is a historic defensive structure located in the city of Soroca, Moldova. It was built in the 15th century and served as a fortification against invading forces. The fortress is considered to be one of the best-preserved medieval monuments in the country. It features a unique pentagonal shape and is surrounded by a moat. Make sure to also visit the nearby Soroca Clock Tower, a symbol of the city. The fortress is open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9 am to 5 pm. Admission fees apply. It is recommended to bring comfortable shoes as there are stairs and uneven surfaces to navigate.
