The largest and most popular beach in Gdynia is Plaża w Gdyni-Orłowo, a two-kilometer-long sandy beach that stretches across half of the town. It is enveloped by cliffs on one side and offers a beautiful view of the nearby Gdynia Harbor, making it an attractive destination for beachgoers and photo enthusiasts alike. Gdynia Orłowo Pier, an iconic wooden structure just to the east of the beach, is a great spot to capture the sparkling ocean and bright skyline. There are beach bars and restaurants, showers and umbrellas to rent, and plenty of space to run and play. During summer, Para Gdynia (the Gdynia Yacht Club) organizes events that make the beach even more enjoyable.
