Nesjavellir

Nesjavellir, in Iceland, is a unique geothermal power station located in the southwestern part of the country. Operated by the National Power Company, it is one of the largest power suppliers in Iceland and provides energy to much of the urban population. The area around Nesjavellir is some of the most picturesque in the country, with stunning mountains and rolling hills that add to the area’s charm. There are many geothermal activities to experience here, from hot springs and mud baths, to the nearby caves and volcanic features. Popular attractions include the Gullfoss Waterfall, the Golden Circle Route and several outdoor activities. Guests can rent bikes and take part in snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and kayaking.
