Miramare Castle is an iconic 19th-century castle located in the seaside town of Trieste, Italy. Built for Archduke Maximilian of Austria and his wife Charlotte of Belgium, this castle has been preserved as a museum since 1960. Miramare is a great place to explore if you are interested in some of the finer details of imperial Austrian architecture.
