The Japanese Eagle statue, in Greater London, United Kingdom, is a memorial to Queen Elizabeth II's visit to Japan in 1975. It was commissioned following a successful nationwide fundraising drive, and was then placed in the grounds of the Japanese Embassy in London. It stands 10 feet tall and was sculpted by Japanese artist Genpei Akasegawa. It portrays an eagle with wings outstretched and beak open in a symbolic pose, making it a popular destination for tourists and photographers alike. Its intricate detailing and large size make it a beautiful sight to behold and a great photo opportunity for anyone travelling through the city.
