Duomo di Bressanone Brixner Dom

The Duomo di Bressanone Brixner Dom is an impressive Roman Catholic church in Bressanone, Italy. It was built at the start of the 12th century in a Romanesque Lombardy style and is marked by a tall campanile and a rose window. Inside the church, you can see numerous monuments, frescoes, and artwork from different centuries.

The highlight of the Duomo di Bressanone is its interior decorations that make you feel like you have travelled centuries back in time. Gothic style altars combined with carvings made by the medieval stonemasons make it a truly extraordinary building. The stained glass of the rose window, carved capitals of the columns, and the frescoes decorate the walls of the church. At the entrance of the church, you can also find some of the oldest artworks in Brixen, including the wooden Madonna and Child.
