Catedral de la Almudena

Located on the south side of Plaza de la Armeria, Catedral de la Almudena is one of Madrid's most important churches. Built between 1883 and 1993, the structure is both a place of worship and a stunning piece of architecture. The interior of the church is awe-inspiring, and filled with impressive art depicting Spanish religion and history. The cathedral’s most impressive feature is its 30m-high dome, which is made of tiled mosaics and has an exquisite stained glass window at its top.
